Steam punk cards

Hello hello everyone.
Today I have made three male cards.
When I saw this moodboard from Off the Rails
I thought yes steampunk.

This what I have created

I am just going to feature one card for you
with the instructions on how to make it.

This is a 6x6 inch easel base made from cream cardstock
  1. Cut a piece of the pattern paper at 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches then a piece of the cream cardstock at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches then put this through a cog embossing folder. I very lightly went over with some brown ink to make the cogs stand out a little more. Tape both of these to the front of your card base.
  2. I have used the collectable and just placed them where I liked them. Some are raised and some are flat. I also added a flair button.
  3. Now for the bottom. Cut a piece of the cream cardstock at 3 x 5 1/2 inches and also a pattern paper at 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches. Tape these together and use some faom tape to raise up. I added a sticker from the sticker sheet from the same range.

Ten little fingers ten little toes

Welcome again to another scrappy month.
Today I have  created a layout for Memory Maze
using a leaf mask and a verse from
the baby chipboard collection.

I trimmed the background pattern paper to 11 1/2 inches square
than taped it well to the cardstock.
Cover well with some clear gesso and let dry.
Using the larger leaf on the mask and the texture paste apply to the
base using three of these leaves on each side of
where you are going to place your photo. I then sprinkled my sprays
over the leaves and sprayed with water to make them run
. Do one at a time and dry between them.
Stamp around the edges using the black ink and the script stamp.
Splatter some ink around.

The verse I painted with some white paint. Mine was old and gluggy
this gave some texture I just daubed it on. Then before it dried
sprinkle over some clear glitter.

Glue down your laces, then double matt your photo
I just used some scraps of pattern paper I had in my stash.
Tape down using some foam tape.
Then add your flowers, pearl sprays
butterfly and lastly your verse

Happy Birthday card

Hello everyone today it is my turn on the
Celebrations this month as it is our 1st Birthday.
Happy Birthday to us....

My challenge I had to make a birthday card with a number on it.
So I made a 6x6 inch card

  1.  Use a 6x6 inch cream card  base.
  2. Cut some pattern paper at 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches and the corogated cardstock at 5x5 inches. Tape these together and add your pink twine doubled over around the top of the lemon card.
  3. Cut seven banners from a piece of pattern paper and tape some on faom and some flat along the top of the twine.Add a sticker banner one on each end and one in the middle.
  4. Using a small white doiley scrunch up in the middle to make this smaller. Then add three sticker flower to the middle , rolled flowers, leaves and a flair button.
  5. To the right side of the doily piece, cut a piece of pattern paper to measure 2x3 inches and cut a V in one end. Tape this over the lemon card then add the tag sticker, words and your bling.

Hello You

Welcome ladies nearly the end of August wow the year is going so fast.
Today I have created a layout using a Memory Maze
heart template and fancy frame.
And of course my beautiful grand daughter
Zarna Rose. And she does like the camera.

I have applied some mint texture paste over the heart  mask
moving this around where I want my photo and frame.

The squares I cut from a full sheet of paper.
Then used an edge distresser around all the edges.
The frame I covered well with the silver texture paste, daubing all over.
This has given a crackle messy affect.
When this was dry I glued on my photo to the back of the frame.
Add this to where I wanted it , then using foam tape under all the squares.
Taping them around the framed photo.
Add all the flowers and glass hearts,
then scribble around the edge of the layout and the small squares.

Cool kid

Welcome everyone to another month of creating.
for the Memory Maze design team
Today I have used some mixed media on my layout.

I firstly covered my cardstock with some clear gesso.
Using a ruler and a black stabilo pencil I drew black lines
across the middle of my cardstock, some darker than the others.
Spray these with water and let run. Carefull not to make your cardstock
to wet. It will fall apart.
You can dry between water sprays if you like.

Use a pencil to mark where you want to place your photo,
then spray with some spray just around where your photo is to go.
Dry this well.

The chipboard I covered with versamark
then a couple of coats of the embossing powder.
Place all your papers, flowers and the rest of the embellies onto your layout.
And then splatter some white ink around.

Adventure

Welcome welcome ladies.
This month we have a great colour challenge
from Off the Rails
You could create with african animals,
zoo or just do the colour challenge, which was what I decided to do.
I have used orange, red and yellow on my layout.

This took me right out of my box as orange is not a favourite colour of mine
and I struggle to use it.
I decided to use a very old Kaisercrqaft Collection
Curiousity.
I cut three papers at different sizes, then taped them to the background.
I then covered the background with clear gesso
as I wanted the splatters of yellow and my stamping to stand out.

My photo is raised with foam tape, adding the red lace under the photo
and up along the top right side of my paper.
Using a leaf die I cut out three leaves, one of these are cut apart.
I added collectable flowers under the flowers then layered
everything else. Adding the flair button.
I covered my photo and splattered with the yellow die
then stamped with a script stamp and red ink pad
to finish off my page.

Mixed media tags

Hello hello welcome everyone.
I have had these tags in my stash for a while and thought I would give them
a mixed media overhaul.
I have created these for
Memory Maze

Both  tags I covered with some scrap paper from my stash using some matt medium
making sure the scrolls and penny farthing bike stick to my base.

My first one has the penny farthing bike on it.
After the base is dry I used a script stamp and stamped all over it with \
black stazon ink.

I glued on the metal flower and leaves,
then the resin flower in the middle of the flower.
I then sprayed with the indigo and turquiose sprays,
went over the top of everything with the black stazon ink pad
I glued on the flowers and butterfly and the phrase Beauty.
Splatted with the black ink then when that was dry
went over using my finger with the crystalina glitter.

Tag no 2

I have used a wrought iron scroll on this one.
I did the base the same as the first one.
Cover with your scrap paper, glue the scrolls on.
I did cut these to fit. Just the straight ends.
Glue on the metal flower and butterfly and
Coat with white gesso let dry them spray with Sunset, bubblegum
and the turquoise sprays.
Rub your black ink pad over the top and around the sides.

I then glues on my flower, leaves and phrase.
And coat with the crystalina glitter

A perfect day

Welcome everyone Candy here with another project for Off The Rails
for the 9th  May.
Wow how the months are flying by,
it will be Christmas before we know it.
The layout I have created using the Kaisercraft
Ubud Collection.
I thought this would suit the mood board
perfectly.
And also the photo of my daughter Tracy fishing.
We aslo had to use feathers on our project which I though
the feathers would soften, making it a bit more feminine.

Here is the moodboard

Kaisercraft Ubud collection
- Telaga and baya papers
- Collectables and sticker sheet
